Mano bequeaths a legacy of love and faith. Who shall find a valiant woman? far, and from the uttermost coasts is the price of her. Proverbs 31:10
Quotes from friends:
Mano was “joint” Head Girl at Rose Bay, School of the Sacred Heart, with Nell Hogan in 1940, when I came to school there as a boarder and I was put at her “Table” in the Refectory. I will never forget her kindness to me, this little 12 year old girl from the bush who had never been away from home before.
As school girls, we were not meant to cross the border to Victoria going back to school during the war, so I would go by train to Albury, and stay the night with the Nagles, and catch the spirit of progress to Melbourne the next morning. Mr.Alan Dwyer organised it all, as I think Mrs Dwyer had passed away. I don't remember her. Pat came to my 21st at Yerong Creek.

She finished her education with the Ursulines, later entered with them and ultimately became their Provincial. Afterwards she became their Archivist which was when Sr Margaret McKay rscj reconnected with her and was able to tell her she had visited their Head House in Germany in 2000 while staying with German friends ,and the Superior and her Assistant came out of Retreat to greet Sr Marg McKay.
